I am back from Kenya, and things are in full harvest swing here. Ben works long days, every day of the week, and I take a million gratuitous pictures of grapes. (If this sounds familiar, it’s because I did it last year.)Ben manages a pear orchard, too, and they harvested those while I was gone (pear brandy in a few months, anyone?) I’ve been stockpiling lots of pear baked goods and want to share a recipe with you next week for one of those. Until then!

beautiful photos, can’t wait to see your pear recipes!
Oooh i’m excited for these pear recipes!
GORGEOUS PHOTOS!
I am completely obsessed by grapes at the moment! They are everywhere at the farmer’s market right now- all kinds and colors, and then there’s the harvest for wine! It’s such a wonderful time of year.
I look forward to your pear treats.
So beautiful….Glad you’re home safe.
Bring on the pears!
Hope that you had a good time in Kenya. And what beautiful grapes to come home to!
Welcome home! Isn’t it lovely to come back to such fall bounty?
Our pear tree didn’t have much of a harvest this year, but when it does I like to make these. They freeze well and make a good running out the door breakfast, or cozy afternoon tea snack.

Your photos are gorgeous. I can’t wait to hear more.
“home again, home again, lickedy split” :)
I love vineyards and vineyard photos, and these are gorgeous.
My dad has a small vineyard in Dalmatia. Apparently the harvest has been very bad this year due to unusually wet weather.
Dalmatia! Wow. So cool. White wines?
What's this?
